Down the Navigli

It was one of those rare days at the weekend where I found myself alone. Or rather I had to work and therefore I was alone. You can’t really work with two kids with you unless it’s  something family-based or child-based and in this case it wasn’t. I was off to a café to write a piece, and I had to sit in the café while doing it. It’s the same theory as cooking. Food absorbs the atmosphere just as writing does, and I wanted the piece to absorb every sense of place.

It also happened to be the antiques market that’s held in Milan on the last Sunday of every month down the Navigli Grande. It’s one of those events that gets everyone out on a sunny day, and a beautiful day it was. Here are a few photos I took while I was there.
